Switching from crappy Purina/Iams to Wellness Core, my cat seems to be eating a lot less.. is this normal?

She would fly through bowls of that Purina but now that I have replaced it with Wellness Core the bowl is depleting very slowly. Is this normal? I figured since the new stuff is a lot healthier she would need to eat less but I'm not sure if that is a logical conclusion. Thanks!
