Can i get my security deposit back if i decide i dont want the dump?

i was shown an apt a month ago and was distracted by a maintenance showing it..therefore i didnt see the cigarette burns the length of the cig all over the living room carpet..the door you can see outside all the way around it,,no counters in kitchen,,bad carpet stains among other things..i ask to see the apt again and was refused but got to go look myself after the dep. was pd..when i sen it i do NOT want to live in that dump..bieng they have held the dep for one day will they have to give it back?? im suppose to sign the lease today
