What does this personification statement mean?

I doubt this has anything to do with the Battle of New Orleans. It is about a pionate love she had that didn't work out. The stars refer to the magic we feel when we're in love: we see stars. They go waltzing out because the magic is gone when the relationship ends or disappoints. Blue signifies depression- she's feeling blue. Red signifies the pion she felt while she was in love.
