Is this normal for a dog?

Australian Shepherds are naturally smart dogs. When my dog was in obedience school, there was an Aussie, who picked things up very quickly. I'd say if you are treating your dog like a dog, then there isn't anything to worry about. Naturally any pet owner spoils their pet from time to time. Both of the German Shepherds I've owned growing up have taken to things rather quickly.
